"We are closely monitoring the situation, but the event is still some time away. The situation appears to have improved over the last 24 hours," an ICC source told Cricbuzz.

The ICC announced the World Cup schedule in Dhaka in May at an event. The captains of India and Bangladesh women's cricket teams, Harmanpreet Kaur and Nigar Sultana attended the event. Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina offered her best wishes for a successful conduct of the World Cup in Bangladesh before the official release of the fixture..

23 matches will be played over 18 days, at two venues in Bangladesh, the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet from October 3 to 20. But the situation is not good. The Internet is down in many parts of the country. It has become a warzone. The ICC officials are worried about what to do next.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board officials have filed a report to ICC in a meeting in Colombo. Over 150 people have been killed in Bangladesh following a recent court order. It is happening because the students are not happy with the order which is described as the 'politicized admission quotas for coveted government jobs.' The students have taken to the streets in protest which has gone down to violence.
