Women's Cricket Stats: Smriti Mandhana becomes fastest to 3000 T20I runs

Smriti Mandhana broke into another Women's Cricket stats when she completed her 3000 T20I runs in Mumbai during the ongoing T20I series against Australia. Mandhana broke Sophie Devine's record to become the fastest (by balls) player to score 3000 T20I runs in women's cricket. Below are the list of women's cricketers to score fastest 3000 T20I runs.

Smriti became only the sixth player to score 3000 T20I runs in Women's Cricket.

Suzie Bates,the former White Ferns captain is the batter with most runs in women's T20I history. She is still the only player to score more than 4000 runs in women's T20I cricket. Bates was also the first player ever to reach 1000 T20 World Cup runs during the 2023 tournament in South Africa.

Suzie Bates was named the ICC ODI and T20l Player of the Year for 2016. Bates only took 2679 balls to reach 3000 T20I runs.

Meg Lanning, probably the greatest and most successful cricketer in Women's Cricket history took only 2597 balls to score her 3000 T20I runs. The seven-times World Cup winner is the only Australian batter to score 3000 T20I runs. Before calling it a day, Meg scored 3405 T20I runs including 2 tons in the shortest format of the game.

Another White Ferns player on the list, Sophie Devine, the current captain of New Zealand team took was the fastest player to score 3000 T20I runs before Smirit Madhana broke it. Devine was first selected for the New Zealand team at the age of 17 as a bowler. Since then, she had a unique record of batting at every position for them.

Sophie Devine became the first cricketer (male or female) to score five consecutive 50-plus scores in T20 internationals in 2019-20 season.

In the 2024 T20I series against Australia, Smriti Mandhana became the only second Indian Women's cricketer to score more than 3000 T20I runs after Harmanpreet Kaur. The southpaw opener broke Sophie Devine's record to become the fatest player to score 3000 T20I runs and etched her name in Women's Cricket stats. She is the only player in the list without any T20I hundred against her name.
