WPL 2023 Auction: Squads of Every Team

The first edition of the Women's Premier League is scheduled to take place between March 4-26, 2023. The first match of WPL will be played between Team Mumbai and Team Ahmedabad on March 4. The final match will be on March 26.

BCCI confirmed that as of Men's IPL, The Women's Premier League also followed the Auction process for the teams to select their players. 448 players have gone under the hammer, with a maximum of 90 players making the cut across five teams, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz - as we expected bidding wars. Every team can pick up to 15-18 players, with a salary purse of INR 12 Crore each. INR 50 Lakhs, INR 40 Lakhs, and INR 20 Lakhs are set as the reserved base price for foreign players while for uncapped players, the reserved base price is INR 10 Lakhs and INR 20 Lakhs. In the Auction, GG, RCB & DC bought 18 Players. On the other side, MI was able to purchase 17 players and UP Warrorz bought 16 players. Let's take a look at the squads from the 5 franchises.
