Delhi Capitals sealed their fourth win in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 11th match of WPL 2023. Bangalore could have won the match if they added 10-15 runs more while batting. Delhi Capitals struggled big time to chase the target but eventually, they did that successfully while RCB faced their fifth straight loss in the campaign.

Delhi Capitals skipper Meg Lanning won the toss & decided to bowl first. Smriti Mandhana & Sophie Devine led the opening position to face Delhi's bowling attack. Things just not going in the right direction for skipper Smriti Mandhana as she once again failed to contribute to the team. Sophie Devine showed some positive intent but Shikha Pandey dismissed both of the openers right at the start of the game. Heather Knight got promoted today but she failed big time. Tara Norris scalped the English skipper's wicket. Ellyse Perry took responsibility & played a brilliant inning for the team. She started her inning slowly but boost her inning in the last five overs. She scored 67 runs in 52 deliveries with 4 fours & 5 sixes.

She remained not out till the end of 20 overs while Richa Ghosh accompanied her. Richa Ghosh played a brilliant cameo which was must needed for her as she was struggling for form. Richa made 37 runs in 16 deliveries with three sixes & three sixes. Eventually, Shikha Pandey claimed her wicket but Richa Ghosh & Ellyse Perry played their part. Royal Challengers Bangalore put up a total of 150 runs in 20 overs.

Delhi Capitals come down to chase as their leading run-scorer Meg Lanning started the inning with Shafali Verma. Megan Schutt drew the first blood as Shafali Verma went back to the dugout with a golden duck. Meg Lanning failed for the first time in WPL 2023 as she got out for 15 runs. Alice Capssey (38 of 24) & Jemimah (32 of 28) solved the problem with a brilliant partnership. They spent time on the pitch and built their innings slowly. Alice dealt only in fours while Jemimah complimented her with singles & doubles. Eventually, Bangalore got the two wickets at the right time & put Delhi in some trouble.

The Two quick wickets bring Marizanne Kapp & Jess Jonassen into the action. Marizanne Kapp did the exact thing which Jemimah was doing & Jess Jonassen once again proved her worth in the WPL 2023 with a brilliant fast paced inning. Delhi capitals won the match by six wickets and with this win, they registered their fourth victory of the campaign while RCB are still struggling to find their form.
