Gujarat Giants will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in a match of WPL 2023 on 8th March, Wednesday at the Brabourne Stadium. BCCI decided to allow free entry for everyone on the occasion of Women's Day. The Women's Premier League's main priority is to set an example in World Cricket. Every Cricket playing nation celebrates Women's Cricket matches but not at a level like Men's. WPL will break the stereotype and it will be a big stage for the women who didn't get opportunities and advantages before, just like IPL did.

A few days earlier, the BCCI announced, all the Women's Premier League (WPL) matches will have free entry for women and girls in order to promote women's cricket in India. The latest announcement was shown on the giant scoreboard on Monday during the match between the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Brabourne Stadium. The same was also tweeted by the WPL official Twitter handle. In the match, the MI defeated RCB by nine wickets. MI reached their target of 156 with 34 balls & 9 wickets to spare.

As the much-awaited IPL 2025 is set to resume from May 17, after facing disruption for several days due to the India-Pakistan conflict. As a result, many overseas players, who had flown back to their respective countries, are facing trouble rejoining their IPL franchises.

Some have stated injury issues, while others have their international commitments ahead. Therefore, each team had to make certain changes and sign temporary replacements for the remaining matches.

Overseas players return status for the remainder of IPL 2025

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Indian Women's Cricket team squad for the upcoming England tour starting June 28th, 2025.

The Women in Blue will play five T20Is and three ODIs against the England Women's Cricket team.

Harmanpreet Kaur was named the captain of the both squads. Meantime, Smriti Mandhana was named the vice captain of the team. 

Kranti Gaud and Sayali Satghare are a few of the new names in the squad who were not part of the Tri-Nation series-winning squad for India. Shafali Verma returned to the T20I squad after missing out for a few months due to being off form.
