New Update

Mumbai Indians are on a run that is destroying the opposition completely. They have already won all 4 matches & most importantly, they have done it so easily. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is in great form & the other batters are too but the showstopper is Saika Ishaque. She has been the most dangerous player for the rivals. Gujarat Giants have only managed to win only 1 match out of the 4 matches they played. They are sitting in the 4th position and that is not a good sign for them. On paper, they are not the best team, but they also are not a team to sit in the second-last position. Mumbai & Gujarat will face each other for the second time. The last time they met, was the opener of the WPL 2023 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Mumbai dominated & destroyed Gujarat in that fixture so they will be the best to go on for the second time at Brabourne Stadium.

Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Giants | Team News

Mumbai Indians

MI faced a tough test against Warriorz on Sunday but still managed to come as a winning team. It was the first time they picked less than two wickets in the powerplay but managed to pull the game back at the death. Their batting is still largely untested with the top and middle order doing the bulk. Fast bowler Issy Wong has been a quiet contributor for Mumbai in their campaign so far. She's been their most economical bowler and has rattled oppositions with swing and pace upfront before returning at the death. Saika Ishaque has been the best player

Gujarat Giants

Gujarat recruited  Laura Wolvaardt for Sophia Dunkley, whose 18-ball half-century made her one of only two Giants batters to have a fifty-plus score. Their batting has faced hot and cold matches and their death bowling is an area of concern. Giants' economy of 14.71 in overs 17 to 20 is the worst - UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals are joint-next with 10. Giants opener Meghana is yet to perform for her team. She has only 34 runs in four innings with a duck in the last outing. Giants' head coach Rachael Haynes has backed Meghana to deliver soon in what she described as a "high-risk role". Haynes also said that Meghana struck the ball well in training on Monday.
