Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB won only two out of eight matches last season and finished in the fourth position. Smriti Mandhana will lead RCB again this season. Smriti was only able to accumulate 149 runs in 8 matches last season. This time around, She would like to capitalize on her good form.

The Kiwi batter, Sophie Devine opened with Mandhana and scored 266 runs in 8 matches in the last season. She ended as the top run-getter for the side. Devine will look to dominate with the bat this season as well.

Perry scored 253 runs and picked up 8 wickets and was the best player from the team in the inaugural edition of the WPL. She would like to replicate her form this season too but with more consistency than before.

RCB retained a total of 11 players from last season and picked seven players in the auction. They released Dané Van Niekerk and Megan Schutt. In the mini-auction, Ekta Bisht was the most expensive player for RCB who was picked for INR 60 lakh. Georgia Wareham, Kate Cross, and Sophie Molineux are the three foreign players that RCB signed in the mini-auction.

Heather Knight will not be available for the tournament and South African all-rounder Nadine de Klerk has replaced him. Kanika Ahuja is also unavailable as she sustained an injury and left-arm pacer Shraddha Pokharkar has replaced the pacer in RCB's squad.

UP Warriorz

The Warriorz finished third with four wins and losses each in eight matches last season. UP Warriorz played the eliminator game against Mumbai Indians but unfortunately lost the match and got eliminated from the competition by 72 runs.

UP retained a total of 13 players from last season and picked five players in the mini-auction. Vrinda Dinesh was the most expensive buy for the Warriorz and was brought into the team for INR 1.3 crore. The English all-rounder Dani Wyatt was the only foreign player that Warriorz picked in the mini-auction.
