Argentina vs Colombia: the recent form of both teams:

Argentina made their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Ecuador ( 3-0) in the quarter-finals. Meantime Argentina is in a good form and definitely, they are capable of winning the title this year. But keeping in mind that Argentina has failed to showcase their best performances at important games quite a few times, Argentina should not leave any stones behind to defeat Colombia. They have been very impressive in the tournament and have won the previous 4 matches at a stretch. The greatest news Argentina can have at the moment is that Lionel Messi is at his best form right now and has scored goals and provided assists in the previous matches plentiful times.

Argentina has been phenomenal in the tournament so far and no wonders why they are in the semi-finals today. The Argentina squad is definitely strong and they have a variety of options to play in every position. Meanwhile, the entire squad is fit at the moment except for Christian Romero. Right now he is in the way of recovering from an injury and that's why his presence in the semi-finals is uncertain.

Argentina possible starting lineup:

Emiliano Martinez, Gonzalo Montiel, German Pezzella, Nicolas Otamendi, Marcos Acuna, Rodrigo De Paul, Leandro Paredes, Exequiel Palacios, Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria

Colombia:

For the time being, the present situation of Colombia is not that great as compared to Argentina. The team is definitely not in their best form right now and needs to pour their heart out to win over Argentina. Yairo Moreno and Mateus Uribe are injured right now and they are not going to be a part of the quarter-finals.

Colombia possible starting lineup:

David Ospina, Daniel Munoz, Yerry Mina, Davinson Sanchez, William Tesillo, Juan Cuadrado, Wilmar Barrios, Gustavo Cuellar, Luis Diaz, Luis Muriel, Duvan Zapata

Head to Head:

Argentina clearly has been dominant over Colombia since the beginning. Both the teams have played against each other 40 times and Argentina won 23 times. Colombia managed victories 9 times and the rest of the 8 matches were drawn.

Arsenal getting set for the game against psg

Mikel Arteta is dealing with injuries to key players in his squad. While there’s positive news regarding Merino, who is making good progress in his recovery from a shoulder injury the Spanish International was seen in training today, this match will still come too soon for him. Benjamin White and summer signing Riccardo Calafiori are also set to undergo late fitness tests today to determine their availability for tomorrow’s game.

Despite numerous setbacks this season, Arsenal has risen to every challenge. The London club remains unbeaten, securing 4 wins and 2 draws from 6 games, including tough away fixtures against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. This impressive run highlights their status as one of the toughest teams in Europe’s elite club competition.

Arteta is likely to deploy his usual 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation during possession to allow for greater positional flexibility while shifting to a 4-4-2 setup when defending. William Saliba and Gabriel are expected to anchor the defense, with Declan Rice and Thomas Partey forming a midfield pivot. In attack, German international Kai Havertz is anticipated to lead the line.

However, the Ligue One Champions are also dealing with serious injuries to their side with Goncalo Ramos, Presnel Kimpbembe, and Lucas Hernandez all out of this important clash.

Dembele is also reportedly going to miss out on this game due to a disagreement with the Manager after the game against Rennes over the weekend.

Argentina

Lionel Messi in training ahead of the final

Argentina doesn't have any injury concerns ahead of the final on Monday. The players have gotten proper rest and Scaloni will have everyone available against Colombia. Emiliano Martinez will be at the goal and face much more challenges than he has faced in Copa America 2024.

Lisandro Martinez, Romero, Nahuel Molina, and Tagliafico are set to start at the back for the defending champions. Rodrigo de Paul will get support in the midfield with Mac Allister creating opportunities in front of them.

Julian Alvarez started over Lautaro Martinez against Canada and scored a goal. Scaloni can start whoever he wants as both of them are in fine form. Angel Di Maria will probably start on the bench. It will be his last match for the national team and Scaloni will most likely bring him on in the second half.

But, he is a big game player and has always delivered for his nation so Scaloni can also give him a start over Gonzalez. Lionel Messi will start at the right and will try to score his second goal of the Copa America 2024.

Colombia

Colombia reached its third Copa America final (1975, 2001), and hopes to win its second title after being crowned champion in 2001. After a dramatic semi-final against Bielsa's Uruguay, they are now set to face the favourites and the defending champions Argentina in the final.

Colombia will miss Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz who was sent off against Uruguay just before the end of the first half. CONMEBOL hasn't banned any player yet so Colombia should have everyone available. Santiago Arias is set to come in for Munoz as the new right back with Sanchez, Cuesta, and Mojica being the other defenders.

Liverpool's Luis Diaz will lead the attack alongside captain James Rodriguez and Cordoba. Richard Rios is not fully fit and can be replaced by Uribe. Jefferson Lerma will take the responsibility of the midfield but he will face tough challenges against Argentina.

Coming to the bowlers, Arshdeep Singh is the star performer for India so far. He has currently in his dream run in the event. However, the rest of the bowlers have also performed decently so far. Now, Dravid and Rohit will be looking to give a chance to the bench players in this game to test the bench players and make a strong playing xi even more. Zimbabwe:

Zimbabwe is almost out of the knockout race with only three points in four games. If they manages a win here then they will finish with five points and to qualify they have to wait for South Africa and Pakistan to lose their respective games. However, the tournament was a total ups and downs for the Zimbabwe side. After topping the first round in group B, they looked impressive. But, however except the one win against Pakistan, they didn't able to win in the rest two games - one got washed out.
