"It is the most important game of the season so far. We are motivated and we are excited, because it has been four years since we reached the quarter-finals. We have to compete against a great rival, who were Italian Serie A champions last year. I hope it will be a magical night for Barcelona fans," Xavi Hernández, Barcelona coach said in the pre-macth press conference.
"We're ready. We have spent a few days ironing out details and the boys are eager to do all they can against Barcelona. It's true that we are still conceding goals, yet slowly but surely we are tightening things up. Barcelona have a clear identity, and Xavi says they're not going to change their approach. We are talking about a team with many options and players. We have to contain them," Francesco Calzona, Napoli coach said in the press conference.

Who is leading the 2024-25 European Golden Boot race?
Kylian Mbappe is leading the race for the 2024-25 European Golden Boot. However, players like Viktor Gyökeres, Mohamed Salah and a few others are also in race.
The European leagues are up and running and we have already witnessed some great encounters between the top European teams. The hunt to win the European Golden Boot is also taking shape for the 2024-25 season.
Some big names from the Top five European leagues are already in full swing and they are scoring loads of goals to clinch the coveted annual award for the highest goalscorer in Europe. However, some young and talented players have enlisted themselves in the charts as well; even from outside of the top five European leagues.
Sportzpoint brings you all the details about the leading goalscorers in the top five European leagues, details of the UEFA League ranking, and the leading goalscorers competing for the 2024-25 European Golden Boot.
The European Golden Boot Race

The Golden Boot is awarded by European Sports Media (ESM) which is a unified association of Football Magazine publications such as Marca, Kicker, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Frankfurter AZ, etc. They took over since 1996-97 season and started a new ranking system based on the position of the league for the respective players.
The UEFA coefficient ranking is considered a measure for weighting points, with the principle being to acknowledge players who score in leagues of higher quality according to rankings, which makes it tougher to find the back of the net.
The number of goals scored in the top five leagues of Europe are counted with a multiplier of two, while those from leagues ranked six to 21 receive a 1.5 multiplier, and goals from all other leagues are counted as one.
This is how the points system works.
⚽️🏆 Players with the Most European Golden Boot Wins:
🇦🇷 Lionel Messi: 6 🇵🇹 Cristiano Ronaldo: 4 🇺🇾 Luis Suarez: 2 🇫🇷 Thierry Henry: 2 🇵🇱 Robert Lewandowski: 2
The Ultimate European Golden Boot Race (Among the top 10 European Leagues according to UEFA coefficient rankings)
Considering the players from the top 10 European leagues in this list, this is what the current race of chasing the 2024-25 European Golden Boot looks like:
Real Madrid players Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric and Nacho have equalled Paco Gento's record for most Champions League titles as a player. All of them have won six European Cup/Champions League titles.
The Champions League has always been a huge honour for any team. Teams like Real Madrid have won the trophy as many as 15 times while AC Milan, FC Barcelona, Ajax and Bayern Munich have won found success in Europe's biggest club competition.
As a result, the players from such elite teams as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Ajax, and AC Milan dominate the charts of players with the most Champions League titles.
Players who have won the most Champions League titles
Paco Gento was the first player to win six European Cup/Champions League titles as a player.
Iconic Real Madrid left-winger Paco Gento used to hold the record for the most Champions League titles by a player. He has won six trophies in his 18 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Real Madrid legends Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric andNacho have equalled his record and became the only players to win six Champions League titles in the UCL era.
Former Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is tied up at 5 UCL titles with players like Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta and Larence Seedorf as well as other Real Madrid giants in Hector Rial and Marquitos, Lucas Vázquez, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and a few others.
Real Madrid have won 106 El-Clasico matches, while Barcelona have won 103 times, excluding the exhibition games where Barcelona has dominated the Los Blancos.
El Clasico refers to a match between two of Spain's biggest teams, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The rivalry goes beyond the football field as Madrid, the capital of Spain and Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia's autonomous community, have shared their fair share of political tension over the years.
Initially, the term was only used for the matches in the domestic Spanish championship, La Liga. Over the years, however, it's been globally recognised for every single meeting, such as in the UEFA Champions League or even domestic cup competitions like the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España.
With both teams boasting big budgets and reputations that appeal to world-class performers across the planet, their respective ranks have been loaded with match-winners over the years.
Here we have for you a breakdown of the games the two giants have played!

Final thoughts!
Arsenal dominated the first 15 minutes, but after that, it was all about PSG at their home.
Luis Enrique has done a tremendous job with PSG and created leaders in different positions.
Donnarumma has been a beast under the post. Hakimi, with 21 goal contributions, is now one of the best. Vitniha, Neves and Marquinhos are one of the best in their positions as well.
Dembele is running for a potential Ballon d'Or finish. So, the credit should go to Enrique for all his efforts.
Arsenal had their chances, but they failed to take them. Saka did score but missed one as well.
So, it will be Inter Milan vs PSG in the final in Munich. Thank you for staying up with us.
Good night, and I will see you on 1st June in the final. Till then, take care and enjoy football.
Arsenal dominated the first 15 minutes of the game. But saves from Donnarumma made sure PSG did not concede any before Fabian Ruiz scored a screamer to hand PSG the lead.
Will Arsenal be able to make a match out of it, like Barcelona did last night?
Or, PSG are heading to Munich?
We'll see that after the break.

Do you know?
Inter have gone 972 days without losing a Champions League home game, their last defeat was on September 7, 2022!
The first leg of the semi-final was one of the Champions League classics with a 3-3 result at the Lluís Companys.
Marcus Thuram scored the fastest goal of Champions League semi-final history with a 30-second goal in the game. In the 21st minute, Dumfries then extended the lead for Inter Milan.
But, Barcelona came back three minutes later with a stunning curling goal from Lamine Yamal. In the 38th minute, Ferran Torres scored again for Barcelona to make it 2-2.
However, Inter Milan were ready to strike back in the second half as Dumfries scored his second to hand Inter the lead, again.
But again, Barcelona came back two minutes later with a third goal from Raphinha, which was later confirmed to be an own goal by Inter goalkeeper Sommer.
Inter nearly won the tie if not Dumfries had been found an inch offside before scoring what could have been a well-deserved hat-trick for him.
We have everything to play for in the second leg. But Inter have not lost a home game in the UCL this season. Can Barcelona break that record?
