    Chennaiyin FC extends their unbeaten run at home with victory over southern rival Kerala Blasters. Aakash Sangwan found the net for the host, his first goal in the Indian Super League which was enough to gift his side all three points from the fixture. Chennaiyin FC are now in the 8th spot in the points table with this victory.

    Meanwhile, Kerala failed to breach the gap between them and Odisha FC. The visitors couldn't create anything serious even when Chennaiyin FC were playing with 1 man less due to a suspension. This is Kerala's third straight loss after the resumption of the ISL 2023-24.

With 12 points from 13 games, only the winless Hyderabad FC is below Chennaiyin FC in the points table.
