FC Goa vs East Bengal FC ISL 2023-24 Highlights | Noah Sadaoui's solitary goal brings back the Gaurs to the winning path following a 1-0 victory over the Red & Gold Brigade

FC Goa claimed full points against East Bengal FC, following Noah Sadaoui's solitary goal in the 42nd minute. It was enough to beat the visiting side at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa. The Red & Gold Brigade created nothing throughout the ninety minutes and the paid the ultimate price.

FC Goa did win the match with a margin of just 1-goal but the story of the match was completely different. They could have score more than just one goal which tells that the Gaurs were pretty wasteful too in front of the goal. FC Goa were by far the best side and they secured the three points deservedly.

EBFC, on the other hand, were sitting back and hoping to capitalize on their opponent's mistake but Goa had a different mindset today. They were poor in their last couple of matches and had to win this match to keep their hopes alive for the title.

Udanta plays a cut-back pass to Brandon inside the box but his first touch finish is blocked.

Six minutes of added time.

Noah heads the ball into the net but the flag is up against him for an offside.

Paulo Retre and Udanta Singh build up the play on the right and then Brandon Fernandes takes a shot which goes out for a corner. Hijazi gets a touch on it's way out.

It could have been the game settler. What a huge miss from Udanta or we say an unfortunate miss. East Bengal defenders clear the line in time.

A foul on Naorem but the referee is not convinced at all. Cuadrat is furious with the decision.

McHugh plays a through to Borja on the left. Borja sends in a cross and Noah goes for a header but it goes wide.

Martinez dribbles into the EBFC box and tries to play one-two with Noah but the EBFC backline is up to the job.

Noah holds the ball and makes a turn to try for a shot but the shot goes straight to the keeper.

Borja finds Carlos Martinez in the box, whose pass is cleared away by Hijazi Maher.

Martinez unleashes a shot towards the near post, but Gill saves it.

The referee blows the halftime whistle and it ends 1-0 in favour of the Gaurs. They could have been 2 or 3-goal up by the end of the half but the home side missed too many opportunities. Noah missed two huge golden opportunities but did get his goal at the end. The second half begins soon.

Borges plays a cross towards Carlos Martinez but his header is off-target.

Borja wins the ball in the midfield and plays it towards Carlos Martinez who unleashes a powerful shot, but it goes off target.

Borja sends in a low cross towards the far post but Noah fails to connect and misses another huge opportunity.
