Punjab FC defeated Hyderabad FC by 0-2 as Lukan Majcen and Madih Talal scored and assisted for the Shers to help them win another game away from home. Though Hyderabad looked really good and threatening in the first half, they lacked finishing in the fial third. And, Punjab took adavantage of that as Majcen found the net in the 45th minute of the match.

In the second half, Hyderabad could not manage the intensity of Punjab FC and gave away positions easily. Talal in the 56th minute again took the advantage of that but this time listed his name on the scoresheet. For his one goal and assist, Talal was named the player of the match. With this win, Punjab FC now have 14 points and they have moved to number 10 positon of the points table.

Rabeeh and Talal show their studs to each other as both of them clashed going for a goal. Both looked fine now but it could have been worse for any of them.

Early chance for Hyderabad FC in the second half. However, Abdul Rabeeh's cross was too long for Ramhlunchhunga on the left.

It is half-time in Hyderabad and Punjab FC will be the happier team going into the break. Though Hyderabad dominated the game with better possession and position, it was Punjab FC who were better in the final third.

Luka Majcen scores for Punjab FC just before the first half ends. It was Abhishek who initiated the attack. Abhishek's pass found Madhi Talal who first went deep inside the box before sending a loopy cross to Luka Majcen to head away for an easy goal.

Mark Zothanpuia's volley from a long range throw misses the target narrowly on the right.

Jordan earns a freekick just outside the box and Talal's freekick curls away from the goal.

Both teams looking to get a hold of the midfield with Hyderabad FC dominating the possession. However, both teams lacking finish in the final third.

Kattimani makes another save as a Sahil Tivora's cross looked to creep into the goal.

Chhote's header from a Joao Victor cross misses the target narrowly.

Tekcham Abhishek Singh's long-range on-target shot is saved by Kattimani.

Saji makes an important block for Hyderabad FC as Jordan's cross had found Majcen inside the box. Majcen was on target this time but Saji was good enough to block it.

Majcen on the right made a good run with the ball before sending a cross towards Wilmar Jordan who could not reach to the ball before it went out.

Talal and Nikhil Prabhu tried to play one-two inside the box but, the deflection from Talal goes straight into the hands of Kattimani.

Hyderabad FC and Punjab FC have faced each other only once till now. The match was drawn 1-1.

"We scored a goal in the last match after a long time. We could have netted more goals from the chances we created previously, but it's obviously a big advantage because it gives us more opportunities to score goals (in the coming matches," Hyderabad FC head coach Thangboi Singto said in the pre-match press conference.

"A week-long break before games always helps. You do better recuperation from the previous game, prepare better plans for the week before the game, and make good tactical changes, so it always helps a lot," Punjab FC head coach Staikos Vergetis told the media.
