Odisha FC defeated East Bengal by 2-1 at their fortress as they made another comeback in Bhubaneshwar. Despite a record-breaking fastest goal of the season from PV Vishnu in 33 seconds, Odisha FC were able to make more than 60 final third entries to get their two goals at Kalinga Stadium. Diego Mauricio first earned a penalty and then went on to score from the spot. After that, Princeton Rebello found the net from a low corner from Ahmed Jahouh, who made 69 accurate passes throughout the game.

This is Sergio Lobera's first win over any Carles Cuadrat team. With this win, they now stay three points clear at the top of the ISL points table. Meanwhile, East Bengal lost a golden chance to enter the top six for the first time this season.
