A job well done for Inter Milan. Away from home, against Manchester City, they have been able to stop the riot from Haaland and his mates. City had their best chances with Gundogan, in the dawning minutes of the game. For Inter, Mkhitaryan had the best chance but could not deliver. 

Premier League teams should get a cue from Inter on how to stop City!

6 yards out, Gundogan flys in the air to get the header from a cross by Doku.

Gvardiol delivers a great ball for Gundogan but despite having a clear chance, the Spanish midfielder heads the ball straight to Sommer.

Doku opens up the gap for Foden. But, after a decent first touch, Foden could not find the net with his left foot. Good save from Sommer as well.

A frustrated Rodri tries his luck with his left foot and he misses the target by a mile.

Lautaro Martinez strikes a right-footed shot from outside the box. But it is a regulation save for Ederson.

Lewis with the service for Haaland but the big man failed to trap the ball with his left foot.

Fratessi replaces Calhanoglu.

Doku replaces Bernardo.

A left-footed strike from Gvardiol and Sommer makes a good save to deny him.

Dumfries with a cross from the right. Gvardiol failed to clear the ball and Mkhitaryan had the chance to hit the back of the net with his side net. He was not even on target with his effort.

Darmian and Bisseck are replaced by Dumfries and Pavard.

Grealish with a chance for City. But his left-footed shot from inside the box is blocked by a diving Darmian.

Foden with a right-footed shot from the middle of the box. It goes straight to Sommer, who makes a good save.

Double change from Inter Milan. Martinez for Thuram and Mkhitaryan for Zielinski.

It has been a tactical masterclass from both teams. Both teams are well-coached and know how to keep their shape. City have not been able to find that gap to create a clearcut chance so far in the second half.

Good from Akenji as Barella went for the goal with his right-foot.

Zielinski with a right-footed shot from the outside the box misses the target. Inter looking good with the counter-attacks.

Huge let off for Inter and Darmian. A poor first touch and he could not control the ball. He backheeled the ball, but none of his teammates could come there before the ball was cleared out.

Just two minutes after coming, Foden showed his class with a left-footed curling shot. But, the ball did not curl enough to go inside the goal. 

Injured Kevin de Bruyne and Savinho have been changed by Pep Guardiola. Gundogan and Foden replace them.

No goals. A few chances for both teams. Haaland and de Bruyne were handled well by Inter. Meantime, the Italian side were good in counter attacks as well. Surely, we will see a faster game in the second half.

Sommer comes out quickly and closes the gap with Kevin de Bryune with some help from Calhanoglu. Kevin is slightly injured as well after the tussle. 

Barella is making all the moves for Inter. This time he serves the ball for Thuram to go for the shot from middle. However, despite having a clear look at the goal, he could not find the goal.

Kevin's powerful shot from just outside the box is blocked by Acerbi.

Kevin with another pass from the left. Bernardo Silva could not get the connection, and Haaland also missed his shot. City are coming into groove here.

Sommer was beaten here but the ball missed the low corner of the far post by a whisker. Haaland was not able to get the ball from the sweet spot of his boot. 

Yellow card for Ruben Dias for a foul on Zielinski. Zielinski was running away with the ball and Dias dived infront of him to stop the attack.

Çalhanoğlu with the free-kick for Inter. Thuram, who was a tad off-side was able to get the header. However, it was saved by Ederson.

Ederson tried to stop the ball from going for a corner but his slide made the ball fall onto the feet of Darmian, whose shot was deflected away by Gvardiol for a corner.

Kevin hits the side net with a left footed shot from the edge of the box.

Kevin made a cross with his outside boot and Haaland missed the header before Savinho could not connect his left-footed volley to score. 

Bernardo Silva tried to make in-roads, but Bisseck eventually stopped him. 

Savinho with a lobbed cross from the right for Haaland, who gets up high in the air to get the header. However, it is an easy grab for Sommer.

Thuram with a weak left-footed shot after Bisseck won the ball back and played it to  Barella to link up with Thuram on the left.

Both teams are playing safe at the moment and looking for a chance to ignite the attack.

The City defence line is quite high and Augusto is caught offside in the midfield as Dermain looked for him with a pass. 

Ruben Dias won the ball for City with a header and Kevin had the chance to run away with the ball in the left side. Haaland was making a move as well. But, Kevin's weak ball was recovered by Inter.

Inter in the counter attack are always a threat. Barella won the ball for Inter however, Thuram was found off-side right before the final third.
