Amad saved Manchester United for an embarrassment. I am pretty sure at 82nd minute no one at Old Trafford believed it could be 3-1 for United.

But, credit to them, they hang on. Top class changes for Amorim as well. 

Meantime, Southampton would be really disappointed to not earn any point from this match. If it was not for Onana, they could have scored 3-4 goals. But, as they said, if you do not kill them, they will hunt you. United did that. 

Amad becomes the second youngest Manchester United player to score a Premier League hat-trick after Wayne Rooney.

First win at home for Ruben Amorim and he will be relieved. They now move to No. 12 while Southampton stay at the bottom of the table with only 6 points.

Solid block from De Ligt as Aribo was able to find his way inside the box after beating Yoro. 

Top class from Sulemana to win the battle against Amad and then dribble his way through the defense before making a pass to Aribo. 

But, Ugarte was there to make the ball go for a corner. 

Bruno making a move from the midfield and then made an entry in the final third. 

Antony came from behind to get the pass from him and send a left footed shot, but over the bar. 

Antony comes in for United replacing Mainoo. 

Southampton, who are bottom of the table leave the field with a 1-0 lead over the Red Devils.

Amorim surely will make some changes in the second half. It will be interesting to see if the Saints can keep the momentum in the final 45 minutes.

Southampton midfielder gets the yellow card for a descent. 

Yellow card for Dibling a challenge. 

1 minute added to the first half as injury time, 

Dibling with a great strike from outside the box. But, Onana was up for it to make the save. 

They deserve it. 

A corner from Fernandes and Dibling was able to get the header with back of his head.

United with an attack after a long. 

Garnacho's pass found Bruno in the middle. At first, he looked to go for a shot, but decided to go inside a bit more and then take a shot.

However, his shot hit his own teammate Hojlund.

After a dummy in their own half, Sulemana did all the work on the left by his own. 

However, a cutback the Ghanian striker missed the target with a right-footed curling shot. 

Great play but lacked the finish. 

Dibling looking confident here as he tries a shot from outside the box after receiving the ball from Fernandes.

Dibling had the chance to run inside the box before making an effort with his left foot from left. But, Onana was up for it.

However, his right-footed effort was blocked by Sugawara. 

In the rebound play, United had appealed for a penalty but the VAR denied. 

This time it was Amad, who made an breezing entry into the box.

After watching Ramsdale coming out, he made a cutback, looking for Garnacho in the middle. 

Genuine chance. He should score from here. 

Hojlund picked out Garnacho in the middle of the box with a great cross from left.

However, he missed the target with his effort. Everyone knows it should have been 1-0 for United. 

Bruno Ferandes's free-kick hits Saint's Fernandes direct on the head. He is down. 

However, he stood up after a few seconds.

Sulemana found the space to make the run on the left and then enter the box before making an effort with his right foot.

But, could not serve the cross with his weak foot. Corner for United. 

United will look to create more space in the wide areas with Garnacho and Burno hitting final third areas. In that case, both Amad and Mazraoui will be key for them.

David Raya made a huge mistake in the goal, and as Cunha went for the goal, Raya pushed him to win the ball back.

However, the referee did not feel it was good enough for a penalty.
