Parthiv played to Guillermo with his outside boot and Guillermo found Jithin MS with an areal ball. However, Jithin could not be on target with his volley.

Jithin MS initiated the attack again and Ajaraie tried his luck with a shot from outside the box. He missed the target by a whisker. 

A huge let off for NEUFC as Padam Chhetri could not grab the ball from a NEUFC corner.

Another great play from Alexis Gomes, who won the ball and played the ball to Manzoki. Manzoki found Remsanga with a back-heel. But, he could not get the shot in from outside the box.

Gaurav Bora was caught offguard and if Nestor had recieved the ball, it would have been a one-on-one situation for him.

Remsanga with a pass around the defenders, looking for Manzoki. However, Manzoki could not be at the right place to recieve the pass.

Not much to talk about in the first half as the players head to first-half break. No goals in the first half.

Dinesh lost the ball and Manzoki played to ball to Alexis, who took his chance with a right footed shot. However, it is an easy grab for Gurmeet.

Gomez played out the ball wide on the right and a cross came from right for Ramsenga, who went for the header from an offside positon. Positive from the home side.

Jithin this time switched his side and first kept the ball in before sending a cross from right towards Pathiv Gogoi. However, the cross was too long for the Indian striker.

Nestor played cutback to Jithin, who played a one-two pass with Guillermo before sending a right-footed shot over the crossbar.

It is Jithin MS with a great pass on the left for Guillermo. But, the pass a tad long and the chance was wasted. 

It has not been good football from both teams. Except for a few run and chances from Jithin MS and Alexis Gomez, none of the players have not found the rhythm and pace to effect the game.

“We are very motivated for the finals and excited for the game. Everything is fine. We are confident and Kolkata is almost like our second home, because we were here for the Durand Cup. We had a good playoffs and we are looking forward to the grand finale.”

Speaking at the pre-match press conference in Kolkata ahead of the final, Mohun Bagan Super Giant Head Coach Jose Molina stressed on the importance of looking forward and not worrying about the past.

“I don’t care about what happened in the past. I am trying to do my best for Mohun Bagan Super Giant. We did well to win the League Shield and we are motivated to win the ISL Cup too. I don’t need extra motivation from the fact that we lost the final last year. We are already motivated enough.”

Tom Aldred gets the first booking for the Mariners for a tough challenge on Javi.

Subhasish Bose took a strike from the left outside the box, which was well-blocked by Cirkovic.

This was a brilliant set-up from the hosts as Liston and Anirudh exchanged a one-two inside the box, though the latter passed it to Apuia. The midfielder took a strike from outside the box that skied over the target.

Murray looked dangerous on a counter-attack, but he was obstructed by Alberto inside the box, who made a clean tackle to dispossess him off the ball.

The cross from the corner was met by Maclaren on the left, whose shot was denied by Albino! The second ball off the save was anticipated by Alberto and whacked on the target, but Sourav Das made a brilliant goal-line block!

Asish Rai attempted to send a cross inside the box from the right, which dipped in and drifted onto the target. However, Albino Gomes punched it over the bar!

Alberto passed it to Cummings right in front of the box, but Cumming's grounded strike rolled just wide off the far post.

Jordan Murray showed brilliant control on the ball on the right edge of the box, but his effort was stopped by Vishal.

Anirudh Thapa won the ball in midfield and sprinted upwards. The MBSG midfielder attempted an ambitious effort from a long distance, but his on-target strike was confidently claimed by Albino.

Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil recognised MBSG’s strength at home.

“We have kept our preparations for this match the same as before. There is no doubt about Mohun Bagan Super Giant, who always play very well, especially at home,” he said.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant head coach Jose Molina brought the focus to the core objective from the coming match, i.e. to progress into the finals.
