Greenwood's goal against Leeds on the Premier League's opening weekend moved him fifth amongst the highest scoring teenagers in the division's history. The forward is arguably the brightest prospect that came up from the academy in recent years. Last season was his debut season and he scored 17 goals in all competitions to equal George Best, Brian Kidd and Wayne Rooney for the most goals in a single campaign by a Red Devils teenager.
4. Nicolas Anelka (19)
Nicolas Anelka was one of the best ever buys for Arsene Wenger's Arsenal. He arrived at a fee of just £500,000 from Paris Saint-Germain and became one of the greatest signings ever. He scored nine goals in his first full season with the club. Anelka was named the PFA young player of the year before he scored 17 goals in his teens.

3. Wayne Rooney (30)
Wayne Rooney is probably one of the greatest English strikers the game has ever seen. Rooney scored 15 Premier League goals for his boyhood side, Everton, before becoming the most expensive teenager in history, joining Manchester United in a record-breaking deal.

2. Robbie Fowler (35)
Robbie Fowler was already getting some attention for his goalscoring ability in the Liverpool academy. He did wonders when he was handed a first-team opportunity scoring 12 times in his first 13 appearances for the club. Fowler also won back-to-back PFA Young Player of the Year awards in 1995 and 1996. He scored 35 goals before his 20th birthday and will further go down as one of the legendary figures at Anfield.

1. Michael Owen (46)
Arguably one of the greatest forwards in the world was undoubtedly the best teenager in the Premier League. He won the Golden Boot award as an 18-year-old before being named as the PFA Young Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season. Owen starred in that summer's world cup, came back and had another terrific season retaining his golden boot. He became just the second player ever to win the golden boot twice before his 20s.
