Vikram Partap Singh scored the hat trick and only became the sixth Indian in ISL history to score a hat-trick, and the second youngest Indian to do so in the league.

Yoell van Nieff scored the other goal for the Islanders in the dying minutes of the first half after Tlang brought down Akash Mishra inside the box. Yoell made no mistake and converted the penalty to extend the lead. The Highlanders did get a goal back but it wasn't enough to get anything from the match.
