Shillong goalkeeper fouls Thoi Singh with a high-boot challenge outside the box after coming off his line. But he avoids any card as the referee lets him off with a warning.

Douglas Tardin releases Kynsai on the right channel. The fullback uses his pace and put the ball for Tardin, who tries to finish it the first time but Regragui stands tall to save NorthEast.

Nestor Albiach sends the goalkeeper the wrong way to give the lead to his side.

A brilliant counter-attack by NorthEast as Redeem and Nestor play Romain free inside the box. Romain looks to shoot to the goal after bullying the goalkeeper with two SLFC defenders in front of the goal. But, he misses the target while Parthib free at the far post.

Kynsai breaches the NorthEast backline with his overlapping run. His run allows Paga to cut into the box and try to set up Douglas Tardin in front of the goal but the final pass is cleared by the defenders.

Romain Philippoteaux wins a corner for NorthEast. But the delivery goes straight to the keeper.

Goncalves almost doubles the lead. His header hits the crossbar after Hardy provides a cross from the freekick.

Shillong wins a freekick close to the box as Redeem Tlang fouls Kynsai on the right flank.

Douglas Tardin scores on the break as NEUFC defense is caught napping.

Kynsai makes a brilliant run from the right wing to start a counteraatack. But, his final cross couldn't find any teammate.

Kynsailang Khongsit probably pulled a hamstring while trying to recieve a long ball during a counter-attack.

NorthEast United will face Shillong Lajong in the third Group B match of the Kalinga Super Cup 2024. The Highlander Brigade is coming into the match after losing 2-1 against Jamshedpur FC while Shillong Lajong lost 3-1 to Kerala in their opening fixture.
