A convincing victory for the Kalinga Warriors. Puitea, Mauricio, and Isaka Ralte scored the goals for the hosts and they will just have to play a draw now in their last matchday against FC Goa to qualify for the next round. Inter Kashi had their moments in the first half but Puitea's screamer changed everything.

Mauricio then came up with a brilliant curler in the second half to double the lead. Arindam could just see the ball getting past him and finishing at the back of the net. The star boy Isaka Ralte then showed his brilliance to extend the lead by 3. Anil Chawan was shown the second yellow card and that was the end for the visitors. Inter Kashi and Bengaluru FC are knocked off the tournament and they will just play for the pride on 22nd January.

There was no doubt about who is going to take it with home today. Diego Mauricio's excellent performance earns him the reward.

Odisha are keeping the ball as much as they can. They would like to finish with the 3-goal advantage which will make their goal difference by 4.

Anil Chawan sees his second yellow card of the match and Inter Kashi are now down to 10 men. He is not happy with the decision but has to leave the field.

Roy Krishna finally finds his true self and plays a beautiful pass to breach the Inter Kashi defence. Mauricio finds himself through on goal but Arindam comes out leaving the goal and able to get a touch on the ball to deny Mauricio.

Roy Krishna gets space to unleash a long ranger but it goes wide. Roy Krishna hasn't been up to the mark in this match and he will not be happy with his performance. However, Odisha are enjoying a 2-0 lead with 20 minutes to go.

Diego Mauricio shows his finishing prowess with a brilliant outside-of-the-box strike. Arindam could only see the ball ending at the back of the net. Odisha extends their lead and they would like to score another one to kill the game completely.

Vignesh who replaced Jerry after the break is causing lots of trouble for Inter Kashi. Sergio Lobera has done some fine research before bringing in a competitor for Jerry.

Odisha have started brilliantly in the second half and they are looking more comfortable keeping the ball than they were in the first half.

The second half begins at the Kalinga Stadium.

A world class volley from Puitea gave Odisha the much deserved lead before the end of the first half. Inter Kashi looked threatening on the counters but couldn't test the Odisha keeper much. Odisha kept bombarding the Inter Kashi defence but they were defensively solid too. Roy Krishna is not having his best outing for sure but they did score the goal and it is going to be an exciting second half.

Jerry has been consistent with his crosses and once again he delivers a perfect cross which Arindam punches away. However, it falls right in front of Puitea who unleashes a rocket from his left foot to help Odisha get the lead right before the end of the first half. A beautiful left-footed volley from the 25-year-old and it will be a huge confidence booster for the hosts.

Fran Gomez stops Jerry by holding him as Odisha wins a free kick.

Edmund was through on goal, getting past 2-3 Odisha defenders but Puitea came up with a last-man tackle before Edmund could further push.

Odisha are winning lots of corners and this time Roy Krishna was free to strike with a header but an Inter Kashi defender heads it away.

Inter Kashi launches a brilliant counterattack through Mario Barco who sets up for Fran Gomez who unleashes a venomous shot but the Odisha goalkeeper saves it to keep the scoreline 0-0.

Odisha gets 3 back-to-back corners. In the third one, Arindam comes out with a point-blank reflex save to deny Odisha from taking the lead.

Jerry delivers a beautiful corner from the corner but is cleared for another corner by Sumeet Passi.

Odisha keeping possession but Inter Kashi are looking comfortable maintaining a mid-block.

Inter Kashi losing the ball in midfield easily but have been defensively solid so far. They are not giving too much space to the likes of Roy Krishna and Mauricio.

Inter Kashi wins a free kick but the delivery is very poor. It couldn't even get past the wall.

Odisha FC will hope to build on their winning momentum when they face Inter Kashi at the Kalinga Stadium Main Pitch. The Kalinga Warriors started their campaign on a triumphant note, securing three hard-fought points against Bengaluru FC.
