A great fighting display from Newcastle holds City back from winning at St. James Park as the match ends in a 1-1 draw. Though Newcastle dominated most of the first half, Josko Gvardiol with a brilliant grounder gave City the opening goal in the 35th minute of the game. The first half ended with Man City taking the lead.
Newcastle made a stunning comeback to humble Man City with Anthony Gorden pulling off the equalizer from a spot-kick in the 58th minute. Both teams had few chances but none of those was converted after that equalizer however the goalkeepers, Ederson and Pope held their ground strongly to keep their respective fortresses intact. The game ended in a 1-1 draw as MAn City faces their second consecutive draw in the Premier League 2024-25.
