Indian archers performed brilliantly in the Archery Asia Cup 2022 Stage-3 held in Sharjah from 20 to 25 December. In this continental meet, Indian archers won a total of 10 medals including five gold and three silver and topped the medal tally.

Meanwhile, compound archers won 7 of India's 10 medals at the Archery Asia Cup 2022 Stage 3. Indian archer Pragati won the gold by defeating compatriot Aditi Gopichand Swami 144-142 in the final of the women's individual compound event. In this way, Team India captured all the three medals of this event. The bronze medal of this event was won by Parneet Kaur. Parneet was defeated by Aditi Gopichand in the semi-finals. Earlier, Parneet defeated top seed Oh Yoohyun of South Korea in the quarterfinals. In the bronze medal match, he defeated another Korean, Seungyeon Han, 146–145.
Moreover, Indian archers also won gold in the Archery Asia Cup 2022 compound team event. The trio of Pragati, Aditi and Aishwarya Sharma defeated South Korea in a thrilling shootout in the final match. Similarly, the Indian men's compound team also won the gold medal. The Indian team of Priyansh, Ojas Pravin Deotale and Manav Ganeshrao Jadhao won the gold medal by defeating the Korean team 230-224.
While in recurve archery, Parth Sushant Salunke won the bronze medal for India in the men's category. Young archer Sushant impressed everyone with his performance in Stage 2 of the event in Iran as well. In the semi-final, gold medalist archer Ilfat Abdullin of Kazakhstan defeated him 6-4. However, in the bronze medal match, he won the medal by defeating Korea's Minseung Kang 7-3.
