After a straight gap of 13 years, India won the Gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj Chopra is the athlete who fulfilled the dream of every Indian and brought the Gold home. Moreover, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is considered to be India’s best and finest Olympics ever.
Neeraj Chopra finished his Tokyo Olympics journey with the gold medal in javelin. The Indian Army felicitated the Gold medalist on Friday and named a stadium at the Army Sports Institute, Pune Cantt stadium in his honor.

Indian Army named the stadium “Neeraj Chopra stadium”. Also, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled the stadium in Chopra’s presence.. Rajnath Singh also felicitated the gold medalist for his extraordinary achievement as well.
Furthermore, Rajnath Singh mentioned in a tweet as well, “Felicitated Subedar Neeraj Chopra at the Army Sports Institute in Pune today for his amazing performance at the Tokyo Olympics. He made the country proud by winning the Olympics Gold Medal. Now the ASI has named the stadium after him. Wishing him success in his future endeavors.”
Neeraj also thanked ASI for this honorable gesture and shared his thoughts in a tweet, “Truly humbled by this recognition, and hope it inspires many more athletes to make our nation proud. Thank you, ASI Pune”.
