Indian Hockey team's schedule for Olympics 2024

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) on Wednesday unveiled the eagerly awaited Paris Olympics 2024 schedule for the Indian Men's Hockey team.

Team India found themselves positioned in Group B, kicking off the journey with a high-stakes clash against New Zealand on July 27th at 9 PM IST. Following this, they'll face off against Argentina just two days later, on July 29th, at 4:15 PM IST. After that, they will take on Ireland in the third match on July 30 at 4:45 PM IST. The stakes escalate on August 1 when they confront reigning champions Belgium, with their final league match against Australia slated for August 2.

Notably, during the 2020 edition, the Indian men's team also started their campaign against New Zealand and clinched the bronze medal after four decades. The Paris Olympics 2024 playoffs are scheduled to kick off from August 4, setting the stage for intense battles leading up to the medal matches on August 8.

However, despite the excitement, there's a slight disappointment as the Indian women's team couldn't secure a spot in the Paris Olympics 2024 after falling short in the FIH Olympic qualifiers. In spite of this setback, anticipation remains high for the men in blue as they strive to replicate past glory to leave an indelible mark on the prestigious tournament.
