The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris is set to begin from 26th July 2024 so it's time we look at the teams with the most Olympic games without any medals.

The 2024 Olympics in Paris starts from 26th July and thousands of athletes will represent their countries from across the globe. Many heavyweights will try to top the medal table with impressive performances. However, not everyone is lucky and many nations are yet to win a medal in the Olympics. They will be trying to break the deadlock and win their first-ever medal in the Olympics. It's time we look at the All-time Olympic medal tally ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

5 Teams with the Most Olympic Games without any medal

1. Monaco - 21 participations

Monaco first participated in the Olympic Games in 1920. They are the team with the most Olympic games without any medals. No athlete from Monaco has ever won an Olympic medal in the Summer nor Winter Games. They haven't made it to the podium to date. Julien Médecin won a bronze medal for architecture at the 1924 Olympics, but the IOC doesn't consider art competition medals as part of the official tally. 

2. Myanmar - 18 participations

Myanmar comes second on the list. Myanmar, then competing as Burma, first participated in the Olympic Games in 1948. Since then, they have participated in every Summer Olympic Games, except for the 1976 Games. As of now, no Burmese athlete has ever won an Olympic medal. The closest they came when Kay Thi Win finished fourth in Weightlifting at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Women's 48 kg.

3. Malta - 17 participations

Malta participated in fifteen Olympic Games from the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam except the 1932, 1952, 1956, 1964, and 1976 games. No Maltese athlete has ever won a medal at the Olympic Games. The closest they came when Diane Borg finished eighth in the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

4. Bolivia - 15 participations

Bolivia made its debut appearance in the 1936 Summer Olympic Games. They are yet to win an Olympic medal. Their best result came in the Athletics at the twenty-fifth edition of the Summer Olympics (1992). The women's 4x400m relay team finished fourteenth out of fifteen teams. Bolivia's best result in the individual event came also in Athletics in the Summer Olympics 2016. In the Women’s 20km Walk, Ángela Castro finished at the eighteenth place out of seventy-four athletes.

5. Mali - 16 participations

Mali first participated in the 1964 Summer Olympics. Since 1980, they have participated in every game but sadly, they haven't won an Olympic medal. Its best Olympic performance came in 2004 when the Malian men’s football team reached the quarter-finals. The team was knocked out of the Olympics by Italy. In 2012, Daba Modibo Keita lost the bronze medal fight in the men’s heavyweight taekwondo to finish equal fifth. No athletes from Mali have competed in any Winter Olympic Games.
