Paris Olympics 2024 Day 1 (26th July) Schedule for Indian Athletes

Paris Olympics 2024 will be inaugurated on 26th July, Today, but India has already started its campaign a day earlier i.e. from 25th July, Thursday. It began this time's Olympics with the archery event.

This time a total of 117 Indian players are participating in the Paris Olympics 2024. The athletes will take part in 69 medal events of 16 sports which include archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, horse riding, golf, hockey, judo, rowing, sailing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, and tennis.

Opening Ceremony

Paris Olympics 2024 will begin with the opening ceremony. This event is going to be unique as it will not be held in any stadium, but on the River Seine. Athletes from every country will take part in the river parade in the opening ceremony in Paris.

The route of the Parade of Nations will run from east to west along the 6-kilometer road of the Seine. The parade will originate from the Austerlitz bridge next to the Jardin des Plantes and pass around two islands in the city center (Île Saint-Louis and Île de la Cîte) before passing under several bridges and gateways.

94 boats will participate in the river parade at the ceremony. Athletes aboard the parade boats will get a glimpse of some of the official Games venues, including the Parc Urbain La Concorde, the Esplanade des Invalides, the Grand Palais and finally the Ina Bridge, where the parade will stop at the Trocadero before concluding the ceremony.

India will march at number 84 in the Parade of Nations at the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony.

When will the opening ceremony take place?

The opening ceremony is expected to start at 19:30 CEST, which is 11:30 PM IST, and will last for more than three hours. If this program continues till 3 o'clock then assume that it will go on till 2:30 to 3 in the morning.

Where to watch the live telecast of the ceremony?

France has arranged for 600,000 people to watch the ceremony in person, with fans able to watch the event from the comfort of their homes. Talking about India, Viacom 18 has acquired exclusive media rights to broadcast the Games. It will also be available to viewers in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
