The Indian women's hockey team defeated Germany in a dramatic shoot-out in the ongoing FIH Hockey Pro League. India beat World No. 5 Germany 3-0 to avenge their first leg defeat on Sunday.

Indian captain Savita Punia and goalkeeper saved 3 goals and ended the match in a 1-1 draw at the end of the regulation time. India was successful in all their three attempts, Kumari Sangita, Tete Salima, and Sonika scored in the shoot-out. On the other hand, Germany failed to net a single in their three tries. The Indian goalkeeper Savita was simply brilliant in the FIH Hockey Pro League match at the Kalinga Stadium.
