Team India will take on Australia in a 3-match ODI series, starting on 22nd September. Both teams will take this series as their final preparation ahead of the mega event, the ODI World Cup 2023. KL Rahul will lead the Indian side in this series for the first two matches while Pat Cummins will be leading the Aussies. Mohali will be hosting the India vs Australia 1st ODI tomorrow. This will be the second time this year that Australia will engage in a three-match ODI series on Indian soil, having previously won 2-1. Australia have secured victories in their last two ODI series against India.

India clinched the Asia Cup after a commanding performance in the final against Sri Lanka, showcasing their bowling powers. KL Rahul will lead the side for the first two matches, with Rohit Sharma returning to lead in the third. Ravichandran Ashwin will make his ODI comeback after nearly 20 months. Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, and Hardik Pandya will also rejoin the squad for the third ODI.

Australia will come into this series after playing a five-match ODI series against South Africa. Although they registered wins in the first two matches, they lost the next three straight games which led to a disappointing series defeat. Pat Cummins will lead the side this time after his absence in the South Africa series.
