India has now 25 medals in this competition which includes 10 gold, five silver, and 10 bronze medals.

Indian shooter Ramita Jindal defeated China's Ying Shen 16-12 in a close match to win the women's 10m air rifle junior world champion title at the ISSF World Championships 2022 in Cairo, Egypt yesterday.

Ramita's gold and first three places in the women's 50m junior pistol event were the main attractions on the seventh day of the tournament. India has now 25 medals in this competition which includes 10 gold, five silver, and 10 bronze medals.

Ramita was at one point 12-12 against Ying in the final but then went on to win the title with scores of 10.8 and 10.7. In the qualification, Ramita was fourth with 629.6 points but in the ranking round, she scored 262.8 points and finished on top to make it to the gold medal match.

India retains second place in the medal table after China

In the ISSF World Championships 2022, India has so far won 25 medals which include 10 gold, five silver, and 10 bronze medals. India is second only to China in the medal tally. India's Tilottama Sen won the bronze medal. She scored 261 points in the ranking round. Earlier, she had topped the qualification with 633.4 marks. In the same event, Yukti Rajendra finished ninth with a score of 627.1. Meanwhile, Indian girls dominated the women's 50m pistol junior event. Divanshi won the gold medal by scoring 547 points. Varsha Singh came second with 539 points while Tiyana stood third with 523 points. India's Khushi Kapoor stood fourth in this competition. She scored 521 points.

On the other hand, Rhythm Sangwan won silver in the women's 25m standard pistol while Abhinav Choudhary won the silver medal in the men's 50m pistol junior event. Vijayveer Sidhu won the bronze medal in the men's 25m standard pistol.
