Indian uncapped players were in full swing during the IPL 2026 mini auction. The eagerly awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction was a resounding success in Abu Dhabi. A total of 369 players were up for auction, with 77 slots remaining.
Among the uncapped Indian players in IPL 2026, 20-year-old left-arm spinner Prashant Veer from Uttar Pradesh was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14.20 crore. With this, he became the highest-paid uncapped player in IPL auction history after coming in with a base price of ₹30 lakh.

Uncapped Indian Players in IPL 2026
10. Ashok Sharma (GT)

Pacer Ashok Sharma was bought by Gujarat Titans for a price of Rs 90 lakhs at the IPL 2026 auction. The Rajasthan bowler will play in the IPL for the first time in his career.
The 23-year-old has had an inspiring start to his domestic T20 career, picking up 20 wickets in nine matches at an average of 14.80 and is currently the leading wicket taker in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. Ashok touches speeds of 150 kmph and calls himself a ‘hard lengths’ bowler. He also carries the experience of being a net bowler previously for the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals.
9. Salil Arora (SRH)

Sunrisers Hyderabad signed Punjab wicketkeeper-batter Salil Arora for Rs 1.50 crore. The 23-year-old batter from Punjab is in red-hot form these days.
Salil scored an unbeaten century (125) for Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2025 Super League match against Jharkhand and remained unbeaten on 42 in the next fixture against Andhra. In Punjab’s third Super League match of the ongoing season, he made 50 runs from 29 balls against Madhya Pradesh. Salil has also played nine first class matches and in 14 innings has amassed a total of 458 runs. He is also the highest run getter in SMAT 2025 for Punjab.
8. Naman Tiwari (LSG)

Lucknow Super Giants purchased Naman Tiwari for INR 1 crore at the IPL 2026 auction. Having entered at a base price of INR 30 lakh, a total of 15 bids took place for Tiwari before he was roped in by LSG.
Tiwari secured 12 wickets at an economy rate of 5.17 in six matches at the 2024 U19 World Cup, ending up as India's second-leading wicket-taker behind left-arm spinner Saumy Pandey. Tiwari's most recent cricketing assignment was for Noida Super Kings in the 2025 Uttar Pradesh Premier League. He was impressive throughout the tournament, scalping 19 wickets in 10 matches at an economy of 8.20.
7. Mukul Choudhary (LSG)

Rajasthan wicketkeeper-batter Mukul Choudhary was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for INR 2.6 crore. The 21-year-old entered the auction on the back of a match-winning performance against Delhi in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Mukul made his first-class debut against Chhattisgarh in January 2023 but has had a modest start in red-ball cricket, scoring 51 runs in three matches at an average of 12.75, with a highest score of 45. However, it is in the shorter formats where Mukul has truly impressed. In seven T20 matches so far, he has accumulated 210 runs at an impressive average of 42, including a highest score of an unbeaten 62.
Notably, Mukul was in action for Rajasthan against Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on the day of the auction, scoring a half-century. Mukul also featured in Rajasthan’s Under-23 and Men’s State A Trophy squads, where he amassed 617 runs in the tournament at a staggering average of 102.83.
6. Auqib Nabi (DC)

29-year-old Auqib Nabi Dar was picked by Delhi Capitals for ₹8.40 crore. His headline-grabbing performances in the Ranji Trophy and the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy had the IPL franchises sit up and take notice.Nabi has never played in the IPL before.
The 29-year-old right-arm medium pacer has played 36 first-class, 29 List A, and 34 T20 matches so far. He has dismissed 125 batters in 59 innings of 36 first-class matches played so far, and he has also scored 870 runs with the bat.
In List A cricket, Nabi has 42 wickets to his credit in 29 matches, and in T20s, he has dismissed 43 batters in 34 matches. He also finished the SMAT 2025 season with 15 wickets in seven matches and picked up one four-wicket haul. In the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season, Auqib has picked up 29 wickets in five matches.

5. Mangesh Yadav (RCB)

Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Mangesh Yadav was bought by the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 5.2 crore. He is coming off a 12-ball 28-run knock and a two-wicket haul against Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Mangesh made his domestic debut for Madhya Pradesh against Jharkhand. He went for 47 runs in his four overs but dismissed Rajandeep Singh as well. Mangesh is yet to play in any other format for Madhya Pradesh. He has three wickets from the two T20s, although he has been expensive, with an economy of 12.14. He picked 14 wickets in six matches at the Madhya Pradesh T20 league earlier this year and is a middle-order specialist.
4. Tejasvi Dahiya (KKR)

Tejasvi Singh Dahiya, a 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batter from Delhi, was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 3 crore in the IPL 2026 auction. He entered his name in the IPL 2026 auction at a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
Tejasvi has played six T20 matches so far and scored 113 runs with a strike rate of 168.65. His batting average in T20s is 56.50, and he has slammed 5 fours and 8 sixes so far. Dahiya shot to fame with his exploits in the Delhi Premier League. He was the leading six-hitter in the DPL, smashing 29 sixes and amassing 339 runs at a strike rate of 190.44.
3. Akshat Raghuwanshi (LSG)

Akshat Raghuwanshi was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for INR 2.2 crore at the IPL 2026 mini-auction. After doing well in age-group cricket, the 22-year-old batter impressed during the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy season. He scored a century on debut against Meghalaya and followed it up with a half-century in his second match. The middle-order batter also led Madhya Pradesh's U-19 side in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.
Raghuwanshi has played 10 first-class games so far, amassing 421 runs at an average of 32.38. In List A cricket, he has aggregated 192 runs in 10 innings at an average of 27.42. He has also played seven T20s, in which he has scored 63 runs at a strike rate of 131.25.
Raghuwanshi enhanced his reputation as a power-hitter when he smashed 105 off 45 balls in MP’s local T20 league against the Bhopal Leopards, going on to amass 239 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 177.
2. Kartik Sharma (CSK)

Wicket-keeper batter Kartik Sharma stunned everyone at the IPL 2026 Auction. The 19-year-old from Rajasthan was bought for a massive Rs 14.20 Crore by Chennai Super Kings.
This will be the first time that the youngster will feature in the IPL. He drew a lot of attention for his explosive lower-order batting in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy group stage, where he scored 133 runs in 5 matches. While the youngster has played just 12 T20 matches till now, he has been quite consistent with a strike rate above 160.

1. Prashant Veer (CSK)

Prashant Veer, a 20-year old left-arm spin allrounder from Uttar Pradesh, smashed the record for the most expensive uncapped Indian player ever bought at an IPL auction, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bidding a whopping INR 14.2 crore for him at the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi. The previous record bid for an uncapped Indian was INR 10 crore for fast bowler Avesh Khan by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in 2022.
Veer had played nine domestic T20s and his performances in the UPT20 League, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and Uttar Pradesh's Under-23 fixtures earned him a call up for trials with CSK. He ended the first of those tournaments with 112 runs at a strike rate of 170 and picked up nine wickets at an economy of 6.76.
