There are still three months left until the Paris Olympics 2024 starts, but it is already inevitable to think about whether Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will form a couple to represent Spain in the big event. In recent days, Carlos Alcaraz once again expressed his great admiration for Nadal and hopes that the tennis player, winner of 22 Grand Slam tournaments, can play alongside him at the Paris Olympics, but he has not yet formally asked him to do so.
"It's also hugely exciting for me. If I'm not mistaken, I've heard it is for him too." added the 14-time Roland Garros champion in an interview for the Madrid Open after his debut victory against the young North American Darwin Blanch.
"So it would be great to play the odd tournament before the Olympics to prepare ourselves and to get some rapport on court." Given these statements, Rafael Nadal pointed out that he also hopes to team up with Alcaraz in the summer event in the French capital.
This year, Nadal has missed major events such as the Monte Carlo and Indian Wells tournaments, but he does not lose hope in coming back strong for the Roland Garros. Nadal hopes that his injuries will allow him to return to the courts in time to repeat the feat alongside Carlos Alcaraz in the next Olympic Games.
