It is time for the semi-finals of the iconic tennis tournament, with the women competing on Thursday (10 July) before the men follow suit on Friday (11 July). Matches will be played on Centre Court of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, with play starting at 13:30 local time.
Here are the key things you need to know about the semi-final showdowns at the Wimbledon 2025.
Men's Semifinals (Friday, July 11)
Jannik Sinner (1) vs. Novak Djokovic (38)
Serbia's Novak Djokovic has reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2025 men's singles semifinals. He defeated 22nd seed Flavio Cobolli 6-7, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 in a tough match in the quarter-finals. This will be Djokovic's record 14th semi-final at Wimbledon. No one has played more semi-final matches than him in this tournament. Djokovic is eyeing to equal Roger Federer by winning Wimbledon for the eighth time.

Djokovic will face world number one Jannick Sinner in the semi-finals. Sinner, on the other hand, defeated Benjamin Shelton 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.
Djokovic will face Italy's Sinner for the 10th time. Sinner has previously won four consecutive matches over Djokovic and in the head-to-head clash between the two, Sinner has won five matches and Djokovic has won four matches. Sinner recently won in straight sets in the French Open semi-finals. However, Djokovic has won both his previous matches over Sinner on grass surfaces at Wimbledon in 2022 and 2023.
Carlos Alcaraz (2) vs. Taylor Fritz (5)
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz will face Taylor Fritz in the other semifinal of the men's singles. Alcaraz reached the semifinals by defeating Cameron Norrie 6-2, 6-3, 6-3. Fritz, on the other hand defeated Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6.
Olympic silver medallist Alcaraz is one match away from a sixth Grand Slam final, a scene where he holds a 100 per cent winning record. On a 23-match winning streak in all competitions, the Spaniard has also won his last 17 consecutive bouts on grass.
Lying in wait for the 22-year-old is debut Wimbledon semi-finalist Fritz, another potent player on the surface who has claimed half of his career titles on grass.
Women's Semifinals (Thursday, July 10)
Aryna Sabalenka (1) vs. Amanda Anisimova (13)
Aryna Sabalenka will face Amanda Anisimova in the first semi-final of women's singles semifinals. Earlier in the last-eight, Anisimova defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-1, 7-6 and top seed Sabalenka defeated Laura Siegemund 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Amanda Anisimova came into Wimbledon 2025 with her first main draw appearance in three years and as the 13th seed. Now the USA star will be a top 8 player come Monday and is a match away from her maiden major final.
In the American's path is world number one Aryna Sabalenka, who had to recover from her first dropped set all tournament to edge past world no. 104 Laura Siegemund. She is aiming for a fourth straight Grand Slam final appearance, her last triumph coming at the 2024 US Open.
Iga Świątek (8) vs. Belinda Bencic (35)
In the second women's singles semi-final, Iga Swiatek will meet the Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020 in 2021, Belinda Bencic, in the last four. Bencic has reached her first major semi-final since the 2019 US Open, producing an impressive performance to defeat Mirra Andreeva over two tiebreaks.
Despite the fact that she was the world No. 1 for over a year, Iga Swiatek had never made it beyond the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, until this year. Swiatek has been in superb form throughout her Wimbledon 2025 campaign, dropping just one set so far. She’s already beaten the likes of Clara Tauson and Danielle Collins on her way. Despite being a five-time Grand Slam champion, the grass-court major remains the only one missing from her trophy cabinet.
On the other hand, Swiss star Belinda Bencic has reached her first-ever Wimbledon semi-final after a hard-fought 7-6, 7-6 victory over teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva in the quarterfinals. Currently ranked 35 in the world, Bencic is still chasing her maiden Grand Slam title.
