Athletes from Delhi won seven medals in the Khelo India Youth Games 2022. In athletics, the players here won four gold, two silver, and one bronze medals. And Among the gold medalists, Sonam is one of them. She took 6:45.71 seconds for this and broke the previous record of Parul of Lucknow which was 7:06.49 seconds. Among other athletes, Shailabh finished second in 1500m, Anisha Dahiya third in the discus throw, and Armaan Sandeep, S Rawat, and Shubham in the 43400m relay (men’s) won Delhi’s fourth gold medal.

Meanwhile, two silver medals for Delhi were won by the team efforts of Aastha, Sonali, Ashwin, and Mahin in the 43100m and 43400m relay. In athletics, Arjun won a bronze medal in the javelin throw (men) for Delhi.

Moreover, in athletics, Madhya Pradesh won the overall championship in the boys’ category and Maharashtra won the girls’ category. In the medal tally, Maharashtra is at the first position with 79 medals including 26 gold medals. Haryana is second with a total of 53 medals including 22 gold and host Madhya Pradesh is third with 21 gold medals. Madhya Pradesh also has 53 medals. On the seventh day of the Khelo India Youth Games, the canoe slalom competitions are starting from today in the water sports event.
