Except for current Olympic champion and record holder Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, five of the top six javelin stars from the Paris Olympics 2024 will take part in the competition.

Neeraj won the silver medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 with a season-best throw of 89.45m and became India's most successful individual Olympian ever.

The Lausanne Diamond League will be Neeraj Chopra's fifth tournament of the season. He had started the year with a second-place finish at the Doha Diamond League earlier this year in May. Neeraj had registered an 88.36m throw in Doha.

Jakub Vadlejch, who had defeated Neeraj in Doha will be in action alongside Julian Weber, who won the Paris Diamond League last month with an 85.91 throw.

Neeraj is currently placed at number four in the Diamond League and he will have to finish in the top six to be eligible for the Diamond League final in Brussels in September.
