Virat Kohli took a stunning catch to remove Shakib-Al-Hasan in the first ODI between Bangladesh and India. Shakib was looking good before he was removed on 29 by Washinton Sundar with the help of Virat Kohli. Earlier Kohli himself was caught out brilliantly by Bangladesh captain Litton Das from a Shakib-Al-Hasan delivery. Kohli took the revenge by diving right and catching a beautiful one-handed catch in the BANvIND, 1st ODI.

India scored 186 in the first inning as KL Rahul scored an important 73 off 70 balls. Shakib-Al-Hasan took five wickets for the home team to stun the Indian team in Dhaka. However, India cameback in the match as Deepak Cahar, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur kept taking wickets in a regular interval.
Bangladesh lost 5 wickets within 8 runs as they went down to 136/9 from 128/4 as Kuldeep Sen joined the party and took two wickets in his maiden international match for India in the BANvIND, 1st ODI.
