Bhawanipur Club signs the destructive opening pair of Vivek Singh and Abishek Das for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Meanwhile, the Day 2 of the transfer window of Bengal cricket is packed full of surprises as firstly Town Club signed Shreyan Chakrabarty from East Bengal and now it's Bhawanipur Club who signed these two destructive openers.

Moreover, they have also signed up their former player Writtick Chatterjee who previously used to play for the Bhawanipur Club. In that constraint, Writtick said, " It's great to be back. I have lots of memories here. The squad looks great too."

"Look, it doesn't matter if I am playing for Mohun Bagan, East Bengal or Bhawanipore, I am always playing for winning matches and trophies. After winning trophies with East Bengal last season, I am hoping to bring trophies for Bhawanipore too. Moreover, yes, looking forward to work with Abdul (Monayem) sir again.

Besides Writtick, Vivek, and Abhisek, Bhawanipur Club has also signed Durgesh Dubey and Koushik Ghosh. On that occasion, Durgesh Dubey and Vivek Singh, and Koushik Ghosh expressed their feelings after joining the club.

"I have always got support from Bhawanipore. Yes, I did not play all the games last year. It depends on the ground, pitch, and team combination. I feel I am getting better every day. So, looking forward to the season," said Durgesh Dubey.

"Laxmi sir has been telling me to be more accurate. I am working on that. Hopefully, those will come good in practice games for Bengal".

"There is no such reason for leaving Mohun Bagan. It is a new challenge for me. Bhawanipore have been playing good cricket for last few years. Looking forward to it"

"Obviously, me and Abhisek (Das) will be looking to dominate the bowlers. But the overall team looks solid. Hopefully, we will be able to do some great things together," Vivek added.

"Yes, last year was good for me and the team. But, we will have to start from zero again. I am ready to do everything for the team to win. With Writtick and Vivek joining the team, I feel we are now more compact as a team," said Koushik Ghosh.

Meanwhile, the two destructive openers have also elaborated on their joy and happiness after joining the Bhawanipur Club for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

"Yes, I am looking forward to playing with Vivek. We played together a lot in tournaments. You know how destructive Vivek can be, it is very exciting to have him in the squad this year," on pairing a destructive pair with Vivek Singh," said Avishek Das.

The Bhawanipur Club coach Abdul Monayem expresses his feelings after some great signings on Day 2 of the transfer window. He is so much happy for Writtick getting back to the team and also said that Writtick and Vivek's presence on the team will be a huge boost for them.

"We have again made a great team, a talented bunch of cricketers. Though we have done great in the last few years, we will have to start good again. It is always tough competing with 37 other good teams."
