CAB is buying about fourteen acres of land with thirty crore rupees. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly arrived in Eden on the same day. He had long discussions with the CAB officials. Various issues have been discussed. That included the new stadium.

According to the news, even though the land has been allotted, the CAB has not received the documents yet. The work will start even after getting it in hand. All in all, the city dwellers are going to get a new cricket stadium as a gift like Eden.

Even if there is a tournament like IPL or World Cup in Kolkata, it is played in only one stadium i.e. Eden. However, cities like Mumbai have multiple international standard stadiums for playing such tournaments. This time CAB is planning to build several international stadiums in Kolkata in the same style. So this time the construction of the stadium in Rajarhat started.
