ICC elite panel's umpire Nithin Menon of India has opted out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be hosted by Pakistan, citing personal reasons. Beside Menon, Javagal Srinath had requested ICC for a leave for this tournament, as confirmed by Times of India.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed the names of 15 officials for the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will take place in UAE and Pakistan. India will play their games in UAE while the rest of the tournament will take place in Pakistan.

Among the 15 officials selected for the tournament, 12 are umpires while the rest three are match referees. Richard Kettleborough alongside Chris Gaffaney, Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel, and Rod Tucker are the umpires who were there in the 2017 edition of the Champions Trophy as well when Pakistan lifted the trophy, beating India in the final.
The tournament will start on February 19 and the final will be played on March 9.
