The season behind this decision is a security alert. Their government-issued the alert just a few minutes before the toss of the first ODI between New Zealand and Pakistan on Friday. New Zealand went to Pakistan to play 3 ODI matches and 5 T20I matches.

The Black Caps took social media to announce the calling of the matches.

New Zealand Cricket announced in an official release, “Arrangements are now being made for the team’s departure.”

Personnel of NZC shared their thoughts on this cricket news:

Also, NZC chief executive David White said, “I understand this will be a blow for the PCB, who have been wonderful hosts, but player safety is paramount and we believe this is the only responsible option.”New Zealand Cricket Players Association chief executive Heath Mills shared his views as well. “

We’ve been across this process throughout and are fully supportive of the decision. The players are in good hands; they’re safe – and everyone’s acting in their best interests.”

NZC did not disclose anything further than this. They did not prefer to comment on the details of the security threat or the arrangements for departing.
