When Naveen came to the crease, chants of "Kohli-Kohli" echoed throughout the stadium and the fans welcomed Naveen-ul-Haq of Afghanistan. The heart-touching pictures that came after the match melted the hearts of the fans, it seemed as if both the players were leaving their IPL controversy behind. During this, Virat also hugged Naveen warmly. These pictures quickly went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, who was commentating during the match, expressed his views on the players moving forward despite past disagreements in the IPL. He stressed the importance of leaving on-field fights on the field and not taking it off the field.

"You fight on the field, not off the field. Every player has the right to fight for his team, fight for respect, and fight to win. It doesn't matter which country you belong to or how good of a player you are. The good thing was when we saw Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq in between the overs, we can see that the fight has ended,"

Talking about the match, Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Their captain Shahidi played an important innings by scoring 80 runs. Afghanistan scored a total of 272 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Rohit Sharma's record breaking century was the center of attraction for India chasing Afghanistan's target. Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs in just 84 balls and led India to victory in 35 overs with 8 wickets remaining.
