9 runs from the over (0, 1, 4, 0, 4, 0). LSG at 98/1 after the 8th.

7th Over: Pooran goes bang-bang against Nigam | LSG 89/1
What? How can you drop that, Rizvi!
After three sixes in the first four balls of the over, Pooran made a mistake and top-edged while playing an aggressive cut shot. Sameer Rizvi dropped him on 17!
This would cost them big!
Pooran then finished the over with a huge six against Nigam.
25 comes from the over. LSG 89/1

Fifty for Marsh!
Marsh completed his fifty in just 21 balls. He is looking in beast mode against his old franchise.
𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝 💪
He gets to a breezy half-century and is in no mood to stop tonight 🎐
Mukesh Kumar had a rough time in that over—Marsh was in beast mode!
Mukesh started with a wayward short ball, called a wide as Mitchell Marsh couldn’t connect on his pull.
Marsh made him pay on the first legal ball, glancing a short one for a single to backward short leg.
Nicholas Pooran kept it ticking with a single to midwicket on the second, playing a defensive push. Then Marsh unleashed—on the third, he swiveled on a short ball and pummeled it over backward square leg for a towering six, absolutely out of here!
He wasn’t done; on the fourth, Mukesh went short again, and Marsh rocked back to nail a pull behind square for a boundary—pure power!
Mukesh tried to recover with a full toss on the fifth, which Marsh pushed for a single to mid-on. Pooran couldn’t capitalize on the last, stuck for a dot with a defensive push to silly mid-on. Mukesh got hammered by Marsh’s big shots in that over!
14 runs from the over (1 WD, 1, 1, 6, 4, 1, 0). LSG at 64/1 after the 6th.

5th Over: Nigam strikes | LSG 50/1
Vipraj Nigam made an impact in that over, but it wasn’t without some damage!
The leggie came into the attack and started with Aiden Markram playing it safe, nudging a good-length ball to deep midwicket for a single.
Mitchell Marsh then took advantage on the second—Nigam went short, and Marsh rocked back to pull it hard for four to deep square leg, a cracking shot!
Marsh looked a bit shaky on the third, managing just a single with a defensive push despite being uncomfortable.
But Nigam struck on the fourth—a full ball tempted Markram into a lofted off drive, and Mitchell Starc took a sharp catch at long-off, a big wicket for LSG!
New man Nicholas Pooran struggled on the fifth, missing an aggressive cut for a dot, but got a streaky four on the last—another defensive shot that somehow raced away despite him looking all at sea. Nigam got the breakthrough but couldn’t stop the runs entirely.
9 runs and a wicket (1, 4, 1, W, 0, 4). LSG at 50/1 after the 5th.
Mar 24, 2025, 2:22 PM
4th Over: Tight over from Axar | LSG 40/0
Axar kicked off with Aiden Markram driving a good-length ball to wide long-off for a single, keeping it tidy.
Then Mitchell Marsh took over—Axar went good length again, and Marsh waited on it, slashing a cracking four through point that raced to the ropes in a flash! But Axar tightened up after that; Marsh couldn’t get the next three balls away—first a sweep that led to a loud appeal but no dice, then two aggressive cover drives, both stopped by fielders at short cover and short extra cover for dots.
Marsh finally broke free on the last, driving a good-length ball for two to deep extra cover. Axar kept the batters in check after that early boundary, but they still managed to sneak a few.
7 runs from the over (1, 4, 0, 0, 0, 2). LSG 40/0 after the 4th.
Mar 24, 2025, 2:18 PM
Marsh survives a DRS call
Not sure whose call it was to take the DRS!
It looked like it was going down to the leg side with the angle at which Axar is bowling.
Mitchell Starc had a nightmare in that over—taken to the cleaners!
He started with Aiden Markram stepping down to a good-length ball and absolutely whacking it over long-on for a huge six—out of the park, what a hit! Markram kept the pressure on, driving a full ball for a single to mid-on on the second. Then Mitchell Marsh joined the party—Starc went short on the third, and Marsh pulled it nonchalantly to forward square leg for four, racing to the ropes.
Marsh wasn’t done; on the fourth, he lofted a good-length ball for a massive six over deep midwicket- pure power!
He followed it up with another boundary on the fifth, pulling a short ball to deep backward square leg for four more. Starc tried to finish with a full toss, but Marsh couldn’t capitalize, pushing it to mid-off for a dot. Starc got no respite as those big shots piled on the runs!
21 runs from the over (6, 1, 4, 6, 4, 0). LSG 33/0 after the 3rd.
Mar 24, 2025, 2:08 PM
2nd Over: Good start from Axar | LSG 12/0
A very good start from captain Axar Patel.
We all know he will look to not give any room. He did that in his first over.
Only one boundary came in that over and a single.
12 from 2 without any wicket.
Mar 24, 2025, 2:05 PM
1st Over: 7 from Starc's first over | LSG 7/0
Mitchell Starc had a great start to the over, with four dot balls and one single.
But, in the last ball, he tried to swing it into the pads and missed his line a bit. Marsh was quick to latch on to this and flick it over square leg.
Seven in the first over.
LSG 7/0.

The playoffs system was implemented for the first time in 2011, in which Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and Final match are played. If the team winning Qualifier 1 reaches the final, then the losing team gets another chance.
The team that wins the Eliminator plays against the team that loses Qualifier 1 and the team that wins this match plays the Final.

RCB in IPL final: Seasons when RCB qualified for IPL finals
RCB qualified for the IPL final four times so far. They first reached the final in 2009 and then qualified for the IPL finals in 2011 and 2016 before reaching the final in 2025.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been one of the most popular franchises in IPL history with millions of followers around the globe. However, despite having many great players of the game playing for them, RCB have failed to win the IPL title till now.
In the 18 seasons of the tournament, they have reached the IPL final four times so far. They first reached the final in 2009 and then qualified for the IPL finals once 2011 and another time in 2016, before reaching the final this season. Unfortunately, they have faced defeat on all three previous occasions.
2009 IPL final: Lost vs Deccan Chargers by 6 runs
After beating Chennai Super Kings in the semi-finals of the second season in 2009, RCB qualified for the final. In the final at Johannesburg, RCB bowled first, winning the toss. Their captain, Anil Kumble, was on fire with a spell of 16/4 in 4 overs and restricted Deccan Chargers to 143/6 only. Herschelle Gibbs was the best batter of Deccan with an unbeaten 53 from 48 balls.
But during the chase, RCB struggled from the beginning and even with a good-looking 32 from Roelof van der Merwe, RCB fell 6 runs short of the total. Pragyan Ojha, with 28/3 in 4 overs, was the pick of the bowlers for Deccan in that final.
2011 IPL final: Heavy 58-run defeat against CSK
Two seasons later, RCB again reached the IPL final, this time under Daniel Vettori. RCB had finished at the top of the points table after the league stage, and despite losing the qualifier 1 against CSK, they qualified for the final after beating Mumbai Indians in the second eliminator.
In the final, RCB were asked to bowl first. CSK managed a huge total of 205 in the first inning, with the help of a 95 from Murali Vijay. Chris Gayle was the star with the ball for RCB with 34/2 in four overs.
During the chase, RCB crumbled, and except for Saurabh Tiwary's fighting unbeaten 42 from 34 balls, no one could get going. Virat Kohli also played a slow 32-ball 35 innings. In the end, RCB lost by 58 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three wickets, giving away just 16 runs in four overs, for CSK.
