#2 Chris Gayle in 12 balls

Chris Gayle holds the record of scoring the joined fastest fifty in T20 in 12 balls. He made this record while playing for Melbourne Renegades in Australia's Big Bash League in 2016. He smashed four successive sixes in the first over of a youngster Greg West.

#3 Hazratullah Zazai in 12 balls

Hazratullah Zazai has made the record of scoring the fastest fifty in T20 in the same no of balls in the Afghanistan Premier League in 2018. He also smashed six sixes in the fourth over off Abdullah Mazari.

Currently, former Australian batter David Warner holds the record for the most fifties (and over) scored in IPL history with 66 fifties. Indian legend Virat Kohli follows him on the list with 65 fifties. With his consistency, Virat Kohli can go past Warner any time and become the batter with the most fifties (and over) in IPL history. 

Shikhar Dhawan, who is considered one of the best openers in IPL history, has 53 IPL fifties to his name. However, he will not be able to increase that number as he has already hung up his boots.

Overall, Warner has scored 6565 runs at a strike rate of 139.77 and an average of 40.52. He also holds the record for scoring the most fifties (60) in IPL history. However, Warner remained unsold in the ongoing season.
