Punjab Kings’ uncapped opener Priyansh Arya blazed his way to a 39-ball century against Chennai Super Kings, setting a new record for the fastest IPL hundred by an uncapped player in the tournament’s history.
Arya's knock not only enlisted him among the uncapped players' list, but he also became the player to register the fourth-fastest IPL ton ever.
Here is the list of the fastest IPL century by an uncapped player.
1. Priyansh Arya – 39 Balls (IPL 2025)
Priyansh Arya, the 23-year-old left-hander from Delhi, turned Mullanpur into his own backyard by creating and breaking multiple records. Dropped early, he made CSK pay with five sixes in six balls, racing to his fifty in 19 balls before notching his ton in just 39.

2. Rajat Patidar – 49 Balls (IPL 2022)
Rajat Patidar’s 49-ball hundred in the IPL 2022 Eliminator for RCB was a tale of a comeback. The Madhya Pradesh batter, then uncapped, took on Lucknow Super Giants with a mix of elegance and aggression, finishing unbeaten on 112.
Before Arya broke his record, Patidar's 49-ball ton was the fastest by any uncapped player. This inning gave him the nickname of "spin destroyer" among the RCB fans. This also cemented his place as one of the key players for RCB in future.

3. Devdutt Padikkal – 51 Balls (IPL 2021)
Devdutt Padikkal, the stylish southpaw, announced himself with a 51-ball ton for RCB against the Rajasthan Royals in 2021. His 51-ball ton was one of the most brutal yet eye-catching innings in IPL history by any upcapped batter.
At 20, the uncapped youngster showed maturity beyond his years, sealing a 10-wicket chase with a silky unbeaten 101. Padikkal once had the record for the fastest IPL ton by an uncapped player before his fellow RCB teammate broke the record the next season.

4. Paul Valthaty – 53 Balls (IPL 2011)
Paul Valthaty’s 53-ball hundred against CSK in 2011 was a Cinderella story for Kings XI Punjab. The Mumbai-born batter, uncapped and unsung, smashed 120* with 19 fours, chasing down 189 with flair.
Despite doing well in the Indian Premier League, Valthaty never made it to the Indian team and was soon forgotten by the fans.
5. Manish Pandey – 54 Balls (IPL 2009)
Manish Pandey became the first Indian to score an IPL century, doing it in 54 balls for RCB in 2009. The Karnataka dasher, then uncapped, crafted an unbeaten 114 against Deccan Chargers, blending aggression with composure.
Manish Pandey is currently the fourth player to play in every season of IPL since it began in 2008.
