Before his 103 on Wednesday, the 27-year-old had scored 114 and 105 not out against Australia in the final two games of the three-match series which took place in March-April earlier this year.

Babar is now the only batter in world cricket who has scored a hat-trick of hundreds on two different occasions. Prior to this year, he scored three hundred in three matches against the West Indies in a three-match ODI series in the United Arab Emirates in 2016.

With his hundred against the Nicholas Pooran-led side, Azam became the fastest captain to reach 1000 runs in One-Day matches. The Men in Green skipper took 13 innings to reach the landmark. He broke former Indian skipper Virat Kohli's record, who took 17 innings to score 1000 runs as an Indian captain.

Now, let's look at the six players who slammed the fastest 1,000 ODI runs as captain.
