The Indian team may face a big shock in the IND vs ENG 5-match Test series. Indian middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer may be out of the remaining 3 Tests due to injury. The Indian team is facing some major problems during the IND vs ENG Test series. First, Virat Kohli was out of the first two Tests, so no specific update has come yet whether he will play the remaining three Tests or not. Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja were out of the second Test due to injuries, while now Shreyas Iyer may be out of the remaining three Test matches against England due to injury.

After the end of the IND vs ENG second Test match, the entire team had gone on a break from Visakhapatnam for the third Test, now the players will reach Rajkot directly on February 11 and training is likely to start from the next day.

On the other hand, it is expected that the selection committee will announce the Indian team for the remaining matches of the IND vs ENG five-match series on Friday i.e. today. If Iyer is kept out, then it remains to be seen who joins Team India in his place.

However, Iyer's belongings were sent to his home. He is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

The report says that Iyer is facing this problem for the first time after the surgery, so he has been advised to take rest for a few weeks. He will go to NCA later.

Iyer was not in good form in the IND vs ENG first 2 Tests

The first IND vs ENG Test match was played in Hyderabad. In the first innings, Iyer faced 63 balls and returned to the pavilion after scoring 35 runs. In the second innings, when a big innings was expected from him, he was out after scoring 13 runs in 31 balls. Iyer became the victim of spin bowlers in both the innings. In the second Test, Iyer's scored only 27 and 29. After this poor performance, he was being criticized a lot. It was believed that he might not get a chance in the remaining 3 matches.

Iyer could not score a single half-century in the last 13 innings

Shreyas Iyer has scored 29, 27, 13, 35, 4, 0, 6, 31, 26, 0, 12, 4 and 29 in the last 13 innings. He scored his last half-century (87) on December 22, 2022 against Bangladesh cricket team. Not only that, Iyer's only century in Test came in the year 2021.
