Preps for the second test
The second and the last test of the India versus Bangladesh series will start this Friday, 27th September. Kanpur's Greenland Park will host the test.
The last time INdia played a test in Kanpur was in 2021. They faced New Zealand, where Kohli scored an overall 21 runs.
Keeping in mind, his form in IPL, there are high posiibililies of him to shine with his bat in the second test, With the World Test Championship knocking the door, its essential for Kohli to contribute.
Flop Show at Chennai
Kohli had missed the England home series earlier this year due to personal reasons. Later he played the IPL where he scored a huge 720 runs for his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.
A good campaign at the 2023 ODI World Cup followed by a cruicial role in the winning T20I World Cup, its time for him to don the tests.
The Bangladesh test series however ended as a flop show. Him falling for a 5th wicket ball in the first innings gave him just 6 runs for the team. And a 17 run innings in the second half after failing to judge the sound of the ball.
India is already 1-0 in the series. Thus its expected for Kohli to be more relaxed and play his natural game scoring runs.
