Team India is all ready for their first match of the Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan. Rohit Sharma will lead the side while KL Rahul is set to be his deputy. The important news from the side is head coach Rahul Dravid, who returned Covid positive is replaced by former Indian batter VVS Laxman. However, now VVS will guide India in the Asia Cup.
Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel both will miss the entire tournament owing to two different injuries. However, the squad is looking good with KL Rahul back in the side and Arshdeep Singh got a chance in place of the injured Bumrah.

For Pakistan, it’s back-to-back bad news as seamer Md. Wasim Jr will miss out on the entire tournament along with Sheehan Afridi, who is already out of the tournament with injury. Pacer Hasan Ali and Mohammed Hasnain were called up as replacements for these two injured Pakistani pacers.
They will definitely miss the service of Shaheen Afridi as we all know what role he played for Pakistan in the last year’s T20 World Cup. However, Babar Azam will lead the side and is set to open with opening his partner Rizwan. An exciting T20 game is waiting for us on Sunday.
