India:

India whitewashed the West Indies side in the three-match T20I series. Suryakumar Yadav scored 107 runs for them while Harshal Patel picked 5 wickets. Jadeja, Samson, and Jasprit Bumrah have returned to the Indian squad. Bumrah has also been adorned with the added responsibility of vice-captain, with Rohit Sharma as his main man.

Kohli and Pant have been rested for the T20I series while KL Rahul, Axar, D. Chahar, and Surya suffered injuries. All of them will miss the three-match T20I series. India recently regained their number one spot in the ICC Men's T20I rankings.

The Initial Chapter (2013-2018)

In November 2013, during Sachin Tendulkar's farewell series, Rohit Sharma made his Test debut at Eden Gardens in Kolkata against the West Indies, scoring 177, the second highest score in an Indian debut behind Shikhar Dhawan (187).
