India vs Sri Lanka limited over series is set to be rescheduled after two persons in the Sri Lankan cricket camp tested positive for Covid-19

The upcoming limited over series featuring India vs Sri Lanka is set to be rescheduled. The Sri Lankan cricket board took this decision as two people tested positive for Covid-19 in the camp. Analyst GT Niroshan and batting coach Grant Flower tested positive for coronavirus.

Although the Shikhar Dhawan led Indian side was initially to play Sri Lanka on Tuesday, it won't be the case anymore. However, the tour is now likely to start on July 17.

Rescheduled dates of India tour of the Sri Lanka series:

1st ODI - 17th July.

2nd ODI - 19th July.

3rd ODI - 21st July.

1st T20i - 24th July.

2nd T20i - 25th July.

3rd T20i - 27th July.

Ganguly confirmed the schedule in his statement to ANI. As per a report in ESPNcricinfo, both GT Niroshan and Grant Flower have been infected with the Delta Variant. According to the latest news reports and doctors, this variant is more Contagious.

Srilanka could have come out of quarantine on Friday but because of this event, they have to spend at least two more days in isolation.
