One of the biggest Indian cricket news is Rahul Dravid taking over the responsibilities of the Indian men's cricket team as its head coach. The BCCI is is wanting VVS Laxman to take over Dravid's responsibilities and become the head of the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore.

In the ongoing T20 World, Cup Ravi Shastri completed his tenure as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. Now the responsibilities have been passed on to the former Indian cricketer, Rahul Dravid. Dravid was director o NCA and had to resign from his position.

VVS Laxman is presently working as a commentator and an analyst for the ongoing T20 World Cup in UAE. Also, he is the mentor of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in IPL. Lakshman is waiting for clarity and responsibilities office role so that he can decide before making the next move.

Whoever heads the NCA needs to be based in Bengaluru. The academy headquarter is at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium currently. Also, BCCI started constructing a new state-of-the-art facility on the outskirts of the city. If VVS takes over the opportunity when he has to move from Hyderabad to Bengaluru.

Till the beginning of this year, VVS was a batting consultant of the Cricket Association of Bengal for 6 years. If VVS decides to head the NCA, he will need to resign from these positions to avoid any sort of dispute. According to the BCCI framework, a former cricketer or official is not allowed to hold more than one position.
